Berlinale day 11
2025-02-23
i'm writing this a day later on the train back home, having gotten some more sleep, having calmed my nerves some from election day and just, everything else going on currently. i'll probably do a conclusion post about the festival later in the week, but it's been a really good experience, some ups and downs as expected but it has been a good week and a half with a very rich range of films. on this last day i, coincidentally, got in a lot of the big award winners, such as the winner of Teddy Award for best queer picture (Lesbian Space Princess), the Panorama audience award (Sorda), the Silver Bear for best leading performance (If I Had Legs I'd Kick You) and biggest of all, the Golden Bear winner (Drømmer) so it seems like i somehow chose wisely. no q+a's were happening anymore at this point so this was by far the most normal movie-going experience day of the festival, nevertheless i got a strong finish to the festival with some quite good films so let's get to those final four.
